Santa Hat OREO Cookie Truffles by Chelsea Lords
Santa Hat OREO Cookie Truffles by Chelsea Lords are festive, easy-to-make treats perfect for Christmas. The truffles feature OREO cookies and cream cheese, and can be decorated in five different ways: as Santa’s hat, a reindeer, an ornament, a snowman, or Christmas hearts. These make great gifts or party snacks.
Ingredients:
- 1 package OREO Cookies 1 package cream cheese (8 oz)
- 1 bag red candy melts (12 oz)
- ½ cup white chocolate chips18-20 miniature marshmallows
- White Nonpareils sprinkles
- Optional: vegetable oil for candy melts

Instructions:
- Crush the OREO Cookies: Place the full OREO Cookies (no need to separate the cream) in a food processor or blender. Pulse until they are finely crushed into crumbs.
- Make the Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, beat the OREO cookie crumbs and softened cream cheese together using a handheld mixer. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the Truffles: Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Chill them in the fridge for at least 1 hour or freeze for 20 minutes.
- Prepare the Coating: Once the truffles are chilled, melt the candy melts according to the package instructions. If the chocolate is too thick for dipping, add a teaspoon (or more) of vegetable oil to thin it out. Add the oil slowly until the chocolate reaches a smooth, dip-able consistency.
- Dip the Truffles: Use a fork to dip each ball into the melted chocolate, making sure it’s fully coated. Tap the fork gently to remove any excess chocolate.
- Decorate: Place a red heart candy on top of each truffle, pressing gently to secure it in place.
- Let Dry: Allow the truffles to set and dry at room temperature. Once the chocolate has hardened, transfer the truffles to an airtight container and store them in the fridge.
